This group is for buildings listed by the Ulster Architectural Heritage Society and for our own discoveries, regardless of age. Architecture that catches the eye, quickens the pulse and is now sadly neglected.
Everything from the CPR to Research in Motion labs in Waterloo to 4-story-high oil sands trucks to old factories on the lachine canal to Burtynsky-esque photos of slag heaps in the Shield to the tar pools in Sydney.
It's an eerie phenomenon, but there always seem to be an odd chair or something of that genre in abandonments. Only post chairs, sofas, benches and the such found in abandoned, desolate locations.
